IMMERSCOM is the first international conference that focuses on bridging the traditional gap between immersive technologies and networking for the capturing, processing, analyzing, transmitting and enabling the remote fruition of objects, environments, and bio-entities.

The strategic objectives of IMMERSCOM are:

* Introduction of networking as the instrument for the remote fruition of immersive multimedia content.
* Assessing the sensing, processing, transmission and fruition technologies currently available for immersive telecommunication applications.
* Promoting interdisciplinary flow of technical information among industry systems designers and researchers with feedback from the end users.
* Identification of technical challenges to provide end-users with the expected remote immersive experience in various application contexts.

We are seeking panel proposals on cutting edge topics related to immersive experiences and the technology required to make them a reality. A proposal should focus on a specific topic of current interest related to interfaces for immersive interaction, technologies for immersion, networking for immersive applications etc. A proposal should include the following information:

* Panel’s topic
* Panel organizer’s name, affiliation, and contact information
* Panelists’ names, affiliation, and contact information
* A one-page abstract

Please send panel proposals in PDF format by July 1, 2007 to the Panels Chair, Maribeth Gandy.
